Dohi™ (Doh-hee) is a Cherokee word meaning Peace, Health & Serenity.
Dohi™ is a style of bodywork honoring you and the Native American heritage through breath work, smudging, cornmeal, an essential oil blend (sage, sweetgrass, cedarwood & tobacco), Oklahoma river rock and South Dakota petrified wood (Carla only).
Dohi's energy and movement is set to the rhythm of Native American drumming and flutes. It is used to cleanse & purify the body as well as relax the muscles and mind. Every movement and every element holds meaning and prayer, intended for your highest good.
Schedule with Carla for 60 min or Estelle for 90 min.
Myofascial Lymphatic Drainage is a very gentle technique that assists your body in moving lymph. Lymph is a fluid that carries bacteria, viruses and other unwanted substances out of the body. MLD is used to help keep the immune system healthy and reduce excess body fluid held between the cells.
MLD is good for: sprains, tears, arthritis, tendonitis, whiplash, chronic pain, tension headaches, migraines, carpal tunnel syndrome, post-surgical swelling, habitual constipation, Crohn's, IBS, sinusitis, tinnitus, Meniere's disease, Rosacea, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome.
Myofascial Release is a gentle technique, yet deeper than MLD, that helps loosen the connective tissue in the body. Fascia is a continuous system that connects our head to our toes, our skin to our muscles and our muscles to our bones. It wraps around everything, including muscle fibers.
By releasing the fascia I am able to sink deeper into the muscles, make my work more effective and last longer.
Cupping is an ancient Chinese modality that uses a cup-like vessel to create suction on the tissue. Traditional Chinese Medicine uses these cups along the meridians of the body to promote flow of chi (energy).
I use cupping techniques to loosen and relax the fascia and muscle tissue.
Traditional fire cupping uses a flame and glass cups. The flame is never on the skin and should never burn or hurt. If the cups are too deep for your comfort level, I have the ability to let some oxygen in and loosen the suction.
Cupping is a great add on to any session. It is excellent to help loosen tight muscle and fascia and can be placed on arms, legs, back and hips.
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. You remain dressed and relax on the massage table during the session. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain.

Crystal Healing is a non-invasive vibrational energy based healing that treats the whole person. This technique uses precisely chosen and placed crystals either on and/or around the body. The crystals absorb, focus, direct, detoxify, shift and diffuse energy. The crystals interact with your specific energy field -your subtle energy body.
Crystals have a subtle energetic vibration or frequency that is based on their molecular structure or blueprint (physics and the principles of energy). When they are placed in your energy field, your body will begin to mimic the perfect stability of the crystals energetic frequency or vibration.
A healing session involves a short discussion of your healing goals and intentions, address any questions you may have, choosing the crystals, and spending approximately 20-30 minutes of relaxing on the massage table and allowing your body to absorb the crystal energy. Crystals may be added or taken away during your session as needed. When your session is over the crystals will be gently removed and you will be encouraged to ground yourself firmly into your body. We will also have a short discussion about the session and what to expect in the days, weeks or months to follow, and discuss any questions you may have.
